My Good Fren…,

I have recently found myself engrossed in thoughts, many, many thoughts…much as I have never thought before. My 63 years of existence torment me but also helps me crystal gaze.
I have a young son, Laito, who is barely 11 years old. What kind of future is there for him…?

The Good Bible tells us:
`….Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!
that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them…’
2 Corinthians 5:17

My good friend, Prof. Alex Ezeh, founding director of APHRC, has recently published an article. Do read it: https://theconversation.com/sub-saharan-africa-needs-to-plug-local-knowledge-gap-to-up-its-anti-covid-19-game-138917?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20May%2027%202020%20-%201633415693&utm_content=Latest%20from%20The%20Conversation%20for%20May%2027%202020%20-%201633415693+CID_f8d66d9e5abe8585d1b5767bff439d58&utm_source=campaign_monitor_africa&utm_term=explain

Times have changed. The virus is just but a catalyst. Trump is another.
BBC now tells us. Doctors were aware of what was going on in Wuhan. Why now? Why not then?
How will you and I, persons who are educated and experienced in matters science be judged?

What you now witness in the US is about to explode world over, as those who like to paraphrase the Bible will say, `Don’t be afraid… Be terrified….!
I am available this long weekend for a cup of tea or beer at Parklands Club. Give me a hola if we can have a chat, and indeed meet…

  1. Aaaah, JPR, this reminds me of an article in the ‘EastAfrican, where a corpe of a grandfather refused to move halfway through the journey. It took the intervention of a grandson went up the coffin, knelt down and had what looked like a ‘conversation’ with the grandfather who apparently gave the go ahead for the hearse to proceed!
